Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann will be checking out potential World Cup accommodations in the United States for his national team next week.
"We have a trip to the US coming up next week. Just to see the venues, see the hotels, see possible headquarters, prepare ourselves," Nagelsmann told Sky TV ahead of the Bundesliga match between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
He emphasized that the qualification for the 2026 World Cup in the US, Mexico and Canada is still his top priority, but added: "Nevertheless, we want to be prepared."
Germany will secure direct qualification for next year's tournament if they win their Group A in the qualifiers. They currently top the standings but level on nine points with Slovakia.
The region in which the Germany would play their group matches in the event of successful qualification will only be determined after the draw on December 5.
"That's why we have to look at different regions. I'll be racking up some miles this week," he joked.
Leaders Bayern defeated Dortmund 2-1 as Nagelsmann watched the match at the Allianz Arena.
