Jacob Fatu was shown to be hurt last night on WWE RAW, and now we have a reason as to why the star was seemingly written off the show for the time being.
According to a new report from PWInsider, Fatu will be away from the ring for a bit. The cause, funnily enough, stems from a dental procedure Fatu had. The report notes that Fatu has not yet been cleared to wrestle, and as a result, was written off.
There’s no update on when Fatu will be back. However, PWInsider does note that Fatu is assumed to be back “very soon” though.
At the end of Friday’s episode of SmackDown, Fatu was set to come out for his match. However, cameras quickly cut to backstage, where people were running to an incident. They arrived at Fatu, who was on the ground and underneath a giant steel platform, with blood around him.
Cameras quickly caught Fatu holding his mouth, and fans could see what looked to be teeth pooled around him in blood. This answers the question of what type of “non-wrestling” injury Fatu was suffering from. With the nature of his absence now explained, it seems like fans won’t have to wait too long to see Fatu back and in the title picture soon.
