The Philadelphia Eagles are in a bit of a slump. After a 4-0 start, they have lost their lost two games, the latest of which was a Thursday night blowout loss to the New York Giants.
Thus far, the Eagles have failed to get anything going offensively. They rank 21st in EPA per play, and nearly all of their offensive stars have expressed some level of frustration. Additionally, their defense has struggled, as that unit ranks 18th in the league in EPA per play. With that in mind, one of their all-time fan-favorites may be coming out of retirement to give them a hand.
"Eagles legend Brandon Graham has been considering returning from retirement to join Philadelphia, source tells NFL on CBS," Jonathan Jones reports. "He has stayed in shape, and he could come back this fall to help his Eagles."
Ian Rapoport adds that Graham could join the Eagles within the week.
"Graham retired after the Super Bowl, but with his old team in need of pass-rush help, he might return as soon as this week," Rapoport reports.
Graham was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Eagles, and he spent his entire career in Philadelphia. He had 76.5 sacks in 15 seasons, and helped the Eagles win two Super Bowls. He retired at the end of the 2024 season.
