It wasn’t the ending Jacksonville wanted in London, but rookie wide receiver Travis Hunter left with a memory he’ll never forget.
With just over nine minutes left in the fourth quarter, Trevor Lawrence fired deep down the right sideline. Hunter sprinted past the Rams’ coverage, hauled it in, and crossed the goal line for a 34-yard touchdown, the first of his NFL career.
“I just told coach to give me the ball,” Hunter said. “I’ll go out there, make a play, and he got me the ball and I just did what I had to do.”
The Jaguars fell 35-7 to Los Angeles, but Hunter turned in his best professional performance yet — eight catches for 101 yards and that one shining score.

Afterward, he made it clear where that ball is headed. “I’m giving it to my son,” Hunter said with a grin.
Even in defeat, his words carried perspective “I ain’t worried about the stats,” he said. “We just got to do better, come out and win. That’s what I’m focused on [just] doing my job and helping the other guys do theirs.”
Hunter admitted the offense struggled with focus and execution. “A lot of self-inflicted wounds,” he said. “We didn’t do how coach taught it, and it came back to bite us. We just got to be better. We all know that.”
His first trip overseas didn’t involve sightseeing, just football and family on his mind. “I didn’t go nowhere,” he said. “I stayed in the hotel every day. I’m ready to get back home to my family.”
A milestone moment on foreign soil, and a football bound for home but a reminder that even in a loss, some victories carry deeper meaning.
