KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Fans were out and about Sunday, celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ shutout win against the Las Vegas Raiders.
“Usually, there is like a touchdown, maybe even at the end. So the fact that they didn’t even allow a single touchdown was pretty awesome,” said Chiefs fan Connor Luchtefeld.
On Sunday, the Chiefs earned their first regular-season shutout since 2011. It was also the first shutout ever under head coach Andy Reid.
“Last week’s game against Detroit was a get-right game for us. This was kind of like, okay, we are cruising. I loved it, it was great,” said KC fan Tyson Bundy.
“Patrick Mahomes did a good job today with all the team players. I just feel like us getting our stats back is making us look better as a team as a whole. It was definitely a good win,” one fan said.
KC Live in the Power & Light District was busy Sunday, too. Some people watched the game there, and others stopped by after the game to continue celebrating the Chiefs’ shutout win.
“The defense played great, it was awesome. It was nice to see the Chiefs click in again, beating down the teams we should be beating down, and here we are, let’s keep going,” Corey Cassaw said.
Tailgates started early Sunday morning, and Chiefs Kingdom brought plenty of energy to Arrowhead Stadium.
“It was a great party and all of the fans out there were very happy, it was nice,” Bundy explained.
