Hesperia Christian's Griffin highlights All-Agape Football selections

Hesperia Christian playmaker Noah Griffin was recently named the Agape League's Most Valuable Player after a stellar senior season.

Hesperia Christian playmaker Noah Griffin highlighted the list of the All-Agape League football selections that were recently announced. 

The two-way player helped lead the Patriots to a fifth-straight league title and a run to the CIF-Southern Section 8-man Division 2 playoffs. 

In three league games, the wide receiver caught 15 passes for 327 yards and six touchdowns. 

On defense, Griffin recorded 23 tackles, including 13 solo and three resulting in a loss of yards. Griffin also had three sacks and an interception.

Griffin ended the season overall with 51 catches for 848 yards and 14 touchdowns, 13 carries for 110 yards and four touchdowns, and as the team's second-leading tackler with 87 tackles and eight sacks. 

His teammate Josh Lewis was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year after leading the team with 32 tackles, including 18 solo, an interception and a fumble recovery in three league games. 

Academy of Careers & Exploration quarterback Judge Coffel earned the Offensive Player of the Year, while Dean Golden earned the co-defensive honor. 

In three league games, Coffel completed 29 passes for 330 yards and six touchdowns, while also scrambling for 307 yards and six touchdowns. 

Golden recorded 28 tackles, including 18 solo and nine for a loss of yards, with nine sacks, four caused fumbles and a recovery in three league games.
