Liverpool open talks with €100m super talent to REPLACE Mo Salah

Talks underway with Diomande

The Egyptian King is contracted to the Merseysiders until 2027 - but looks destined to leave the club soon following a high-profile row with Arne Slot.

The 33-year-old could move to Saudi Arabia in January - opening up a slot in the team for either Frimpong or Federico Chiesa.

Come the summer however and Liverpool will need a new signing who can make an impact - and talks have already begun with stunning RB Leipzig 19-year-old Yan Diomande.

That is according to a report in TEAMtalk - which claims Liverpool are ahead in the race for the €100m-rated Ivorian international.

Diomande only joined the Red Bulls back in summer - on a €20m deal from Leganes. The teenager signed a contract until 2030 and is already showing the kind of form which will surely see him at a bigger club sooner rather than later.

Liverpool in "daily contact" with RB Leipzig star

Diomande has scored six goals and added three assists in his last six Bundesliga matches as Leipzig maintain their very good form.

While it’s not expected that the winger will leave in January, he could well be at Anfield next summer with daily contact between his entourage and the decision-makers at Liverpool.

“While no official bid has yet been lodged with Leipzig, the depth of dialogue with Diomande’s agents – described as “daily contact” – suggests Liverpool are prepared to trigger a blockbuster deal, most likely next summer,” the report reads.

“Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have all held their own discussions with the player’s camp, while Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid continue to monitor developments closely.

“Bayern Munich are also pushing very hard and in regular contact.”
