It’s fair to say Noni Madueke’s performance against Club Brugge has been well received by the public at large.
The Arsenal winger won Arsenal’s Player of the Match award, he won UEFA’s Player of the Match award, and he was even named in the official Champions League Team of the Week for Matchday 6.
On top of that, the Champions League social media accounts have now confirmed that Madueke has won their Player of the Week award, finishing first in the fan vote ahead of Jules Kounde of Barcelona, Charles De Ketelaere of Atalanta, and Oscar Gloukh of Ajax.

The winger’s opening goal against Brugge was arguably Arsenal’s goal of the season so far, and he followed it up with another more straightforward finish for 2-0 early in the second half.
Though after the game, Madueke was keen to emphasise the team’s collective effort to get the win.
“It’s about all of us, as a collective, it’s not really about any individual,” Madueke told the media. “We know that we all have a part to play, so that’s a good thing about this team.”

That may well be true, but in light of all the awards, it’s pretty difficult to argue that this particular occasion wasn’t Madueke’s night.
There’s no doubt Arsenal fans are glad to see the winger back fully fit and firing again now. With three goals in three Champions League games, they’ll hope he can carry that same goalscoring form into the Premier League before long.
