Cleveland QB coach Bill Musgrave gave a glowing review of Shedeur Sanders today.
It’s no secret that Shedeur Sanders has been impressing both fans and the national media alike recently, but the most important praise comes from his QB coach in Cleveland. Bill Musgrave has been working with Shedeur since the day he was drafted, and he provided an update on how things have been going behind the scenes.
During his recent media presser, Musgrave made sure to praise Sanders for his work ethic and overall progress as a pro quarterback:
“He works hard at it. Any gains of course that these guys are making it’s because they are determined to get it right. Shedeur has worked really hard on his footwork & his rhythm.”
It’s incredibly nice to hear how Shedeur has been improving with his footwork and read progressions, as that was part of the problem in his first couple of starts this season. He would seemingly have “happy feet” more often than not, which led to underwhelming off-platform throws or rushed reads.
Against the Titans last week, it was easy to see that he was more comfortable and confident in the pocket, leading to quite a few top-notch throws.
If Sanders keeps developing and continues to perform like he did against Tennessee, Cleveland might have reconsider targeting a QB with their top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
