Ichiban!:Raines stuns Miami Northwestern, wins state football championship

Raines defeated No. 1 seed Miami Northwestern for the FHSAA Class 3A high school football championship.

Raines is state champion for the fourth time, overcoming Miami Northwestern in a high school football classic, 23-22, on Dec. 12 at Pitbull Stadium in Miami.

Tadarius Washington caught a 17-yard pass from TJ Cole with 10 seconds left to win the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 3A champions.

Raines joins previous titles in 1997, 2017 and 2018.
