TRI-CITIES, Tenn. (WJHL) – A full slate of Friday night hoops brought tight battles and milestone moments across the region.

Science Hill boys’ basketball picked up a hard-fought win at home, edging Jefferson County 56–50 in a defensive battle.

Unicoi County boys’ basketball delivered one of the most dominant performances of the evening, rolling past Johnson County 76–43 behind a strong offensive showing.

Gate City boys’ basketball also impressed on the court, grabbing a 74–58 win over John Battle.

The night’s biggest milestone came on the girls’ side, where Abingdon defeated Gate City 63–53. The victory marked career win No. 200 for Lady Falcons head coach Jimmy Brown, adding a celebratory note to an already strong start to their season.
