During the 2025 campaign, Scheffler was also No. 1 in another money stat: most money earned per start.
Scheffler made $27,659,550 over the course of 20 events during the season.
Crunch the numbers and you get $1,382,977 per start. He won six times and those first-place checks help ramp up those numbers, but Scheffler also had 17 top-10s and made the top 25 in all 20 tournaments in which he teed it up.
There was one other golfer who averaged more than $1 million per start: Rory McIlroy, with $1,062,026. He played 16 times in 2025 with 15 made cuts, 14 top-25s, eight top-10s and three wins.
A perhaps surprising name on the top 10 list is Bryson DeChambeau, who played in only four events (the four majors) but posted finishes of T5 at the Masters, T2 at the PGA Championship, MC at the U.S. Open and T10 at the Open Championship.
