The NBA Cup is back in Vegas.
Good afternoon, it’s Saturday, December 13. The Cleveland Cavaliers are 15-11. Let’s look ahead at today’s slate of games.
Today’s game of the day
- Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs – 9 PM, Prime
Who is ready for the NBA Cup?
The first night in Las Vegas will be capped off with a Western Conference showdown between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs. Winner advances to the Cup Final.
Can the Thunder lose? It doesn’t seem like it. They’ve tied the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors for the best start to a season ever with a 24-1 record. They obliterated the Phoenix Suns in their previous Cup game. Which might make you think this game could be another snoozer.
But hold out hope.
Victor Wembanyama is set to make his return on Saturday night after missing the last few weeks with a calf strain. The Spurs have been surprising teams all season — can they do it again in Vegas?
