Two and a half weeks remain in 2025.
The Yankees contined a modest offseason so far by bringing back the versatile Amed Rosario, who played well for them after being acquired from the Nationals at the Trade Deadline. Almost everyone is understandably still twiddling their thumbs and waiting for the Yanks to make their big move, but in the meantime, these edges of the roster do matter and Rosario would’ve had competition for his services. So … yes let’s get a move on, but at least the bench is in better shape than two days ago.
Today on the site, Kevin will take inspiration from Philip Rivers’ bizarro NFL comeback by remembering some of the greatest single-game performances by Yankees in their forties, Matt will open his own obscure page from Yankees history, and John will have the weekly Social Media Spotlight.
Questions/Prompts:
1. Are there are any other role player additions (along the lines of Rosario) who the Yankees should consider?
2. Any predictions for Rivers’ comeback today after five years away from the NFL?
