Bayern Munich vs. Mainz: Match discussion, game time thread, how to watch

FC Bayern is almost done for the year

The season’s winter break is nearly here, and Bayern Munich will take on basement boys Mainz in their penultimate match of the 2025 calendar year. The carnival team probably put three points in their Christmas wishlist because they’ve lost nine matches and won a single game and drew the other three at this point in time. Similarly, they should add luck on said list because taking down Bayern, regardless of the team they roll out, will need a Christmas miracle.

Let’s see what Bayern have on their wishlist; the board told us not to leak this, but it wouldn’t hurt to have a look inside:

  1. Three points
  2. Harry Kane hat-trick
  3. Alphonso Davies minutes
  4. New ankle for Jamal Musiala
  5. Nico Schlotterbeck 2026
  6. Champions League trophy

Lots of interesting stuff in there, but not as interesting as their match today (hopefully from a Bayern perspective only). The Nullfünfer can and will try to take the win, but Bayern will simply stand firm and score a couple goals while they’re at it.

Prediction: Bayern wins 5-0

It’s Bayern time
