Following a win over CA Osasuna this weekend, Barcelona have returned to training as they prepare for midweek’s Copa Del Rey encounter against CD Guadalajara.
It should be a routine affair for the Catalans, who are expected to win against a side competing in the lower tier of the Spanish footballing pyramid.
Heading into this game, Wojciech Szczesny returned to normal training after facing a health setback earlier in the week.
However, there are concerns around Szczesny’s compatriot, Robert Lewandowski.
Lewandowski doubtful for cup match
According to Mundo Deportivo, Robert Lewandowski was one of the players who couldn’t train with the team and remained in the gym as a precaution.
The precaution was taken as part of Barcelona’s plans to give all key starters a breather as the club brace themselves for a busy schedule ahead.

The report adds that Lewandowski, who did some participate at all during the Osasuna game, did some warm-up exercises in the second half.
He had also arrived at the match with back discomfort, which has now put question marks over his participation against CD Guadalajara.
The report even goes on to suggest that the Pole is a doubt heading into the Copa Del Rey clash in midweek.
This is hardly surprising as Barcelona are unlikely to take any risks with their star striker, especially against a team participating in the lower tier of Spanish football.
Lewandowski, for his part, though, would have ideally liked to play against Guadalajara to retain his scoring momentum, having failed to perform well in the last few matches.
One player who will start against the minnows this midweek is Frenkie de Jong, who has seen minimal game time in recent matches and will be desperate to perform.
