Algerian attacking midfielder Himad Abdelli appears to be approaching the final chapter of his time at SCO Angers, with his departure expected at the end of the season as a free agent. A move abroad is increasingly likely, and Sevilla FC has emerged as a strong candidate to secure his signature.

In recent months, Abdelli’s performances have attracted interest from several clubs, including Olympique de Marseille. However, reports from Foot Mercato suggest that Sevilla are currently leading the race and are well positioned to complete a deal for the Algerian playmaker during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Although his contract with Angers runs until June 2026, Abdelli has not agreed to an extension, which opens the door for him to negotiate freely with other clubs. Since joining SCO Angers in 2022, he has established himself as a key figure in the squad, making his potential exit a notable loss for the club.

Valued at around €7 million on Transfermarkt, Abdelli’s departure will not generate a transfer fee for Angers, as he is set to leave on a free. The midfielder currently earns an annual salary of approximately €120,000, and his next move could mark a significant step forward in his career.
