The Dallas Cowboys try to keep their slim playoff hopes alive against Aaron Jones and the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football
The Dallas Cowboys realistically need to win out to keep their faint playoff hopes alive, and their next attempt in that direction comes against the Minnesota Vikings at AT&T Stadium.
This marks Dallas' third consecutive prime time game, as they are coming off a Thursday Night Football loss at Detroit that snapped a four-game win streak. Minnesota is coming off its biggest win of the year, a 31-0 pasting of the lowly Washington Commanders, and is now 5-8.
Dallas is a big home favorite as it looks to extend its season for another week.

Bookies.com: Bet the Cowboys to cover vs Vikings
Bill Speros writes: "Minnesota may be the worst 5-8 team in the NFL. The Vikings' season has long since sailed into Valhalla, even with Sunday's 31-0 win over Washington. J.J. McCarthy's best game of the season can't wash away the sour taste that has filled the metaphorical mouths of Vikings fans as they watch Sam Darnold tear it up for Seattle. The Cowboys could not catch the Lions Thursday night, and were outpaced in a 44-30 rout. Look for Dak Prescott and Dallas' offense (No. 1 in total yards at 394.9 YPG) to extend the field and stack points against Minnesota's mid defense."

Sportsnaut: Dallas Cowboys 28, Minnesota Vikings 17
Matt Johnson writes: "We’re not putting any real stock in J.J. McCarthy’s performance in Sunday’s victory over Washington. That’s in part because the Dallas Cowboys defensive line can cause a lot more problems for the Vikings offensive line than Washington did. More importantly, if CeeDee Lamb (concussion) is cleared to play on Sunday Night Football, Dak Prescott is better equipped than anyone to handle what Brian Flores throws at him and then exploit the Vikings’ secondary."
