The Los Angeles Rams stayed in first place in the NFC with their win over the Detroit Lion in Week 15, but the Seattle Seahawks are lurking. Week 15 was important, but Week 16 looms for Los Angeles.
Both the Rams and Seahawks won, so they remain tied. Los Angeles’s win over Seattle is the tiebreaker right now, so the 11-3 Rams are in first place over the 11-3 Seahawks. They play each other in Week 16 in the biggest game of the week.
Around the NFC, the Chicago Bears won and the Green Bay Packers lost, so there is a new second-place team. Chicago is back in while the Packers drop to the wild card race.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost, and fell out of the playoffs, but then the Carolina Panthers lost and the Bucs are back in fourth place.
The Lions clinched a playoff spot by being three games up on the Lions plus a tiebreaker with three games to go.
NFC West standings
The Seahawks are tied with the Rams atop the NFC West again, and the tiebreaker is the Rams’ win over the Seahawks. The two teams play again in Week 16 and the winner will be in first place with a one-game lead.
