Davante Adams availability in doubt for Week 16 Seahawks-Rams tilt

The top seed in the conference is on the line, and the Rams could be without one of their biggest playmakers.

On Sunday afternoon at Lumen Field, the Seattle Seahawks and Mike Macdonald made their best attempt at giving fans a reminder of what it’s like when the team doesn’t win by multiple scores every week.

A battered and bruised Indianapolis Colts team came into Lumen Field and led for much of the game, only for Jason Myers twice dashed the hopes of a Philip Rivers-led holiday miracle by kicking the go ahead field goal in the final minutes of the game.

The win allowed Seattle to stay neck and neck with the Los Angeles Rams in the race for the NFC West and the top overall seed in the NFC, with a huge matchup slated between the two teams slated for Thursday Night Football.

However, while the Seahawks are heading into the game with several key members of the roster returning to health, such as Jarran Reed, Julian Love, Jalen Sundell and Eric Saubert all returning from injured reserve recently, the Rams could suddenly be without one of their biggest playmakers.

The first time the two teams played this season the final outcome saw Los Angeles escape with a two-point victory, in spite of four interceptions from Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold and the Rams having a healthy Davante Adams at their disposal.

And now it’s on to Thursday Night Football in a winner-take-all Week 16 battle that will see the victor move into the top overall spot in the NFC heading into the final two weeks of the regular season.
