BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Sabres are coming home on a hot streak.

Winning three in a row for the first time this season, Buffalo closed out its longest road trip in 15 years with a 3-1 victory Sunday night in Seattle

Tage Thompson, Noah Ostlund and Zach Benson scored goals, Alex Tuch had two assists, and Alex Lyon made 23 saves for his third straight win in goal.

Following wins on the road against Edmonton and Vancouver, the Sabres evened their record at 14-14-4. With 32 points in 32 games, Buffalo moved into a tie with Columbus for 15th place in the Eastern Conference standings, six points out of a playoff spot. The Sabres hold the tiebreaker over the Blue Jackets because they have more regulation victories.
