Bayern Munich star Dayot Upamecano not ruling out future with PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé

In the midst of contract negotiations that are allegedly in a stalemate, Bayern Munich star Dayot Upamecano was recently asked by Telefoot (via @iMiaSanMia) about the potential of eventually playing with good friend and Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembélé.

Upamecano did not deny that he would like to team up with the Ballon d’Or winner, but was quick to cover his tracks and not make it sound like it was something that he was angling for”:

Dayot Upamecano asked whether it’d be a dream for him to play with his friend Ousmane Dembélé at club level: “Why not? But we’re not in a hurry”

Asked whether he could stay at Bayern and extend, Upamecano replied: “Yes, of course”

The lingering contract talks have reportedly not seen any advancements of late and fans are getting a bit worried. Bayern Munich appears to have identified its potential contingency options in the event that Upamecano opts to sign elsewhere.

Hopefully, a resolution to the situation is in sight as January is looming.
