See the 10 new Corning-Painted Post Sports Hall of Fame inductees

These 10 stars will be inducted into the C-PP Sports Hall of Fame during its 50th anniversary celebration.

The Corning-Painted Post Sports Hall of Fame, Board of Directors has selected 10 new members to join the Hall of Fame during the annual Induction Weekend to be held March 13-14, 2026 as the local Hall of Fame celebrates its 50th Anniversary.

The Class of 2026 will be enshrined during the Induction Ceremony that will be held on Saturday afternoon, March 14 at the Corning Museum of Glass auditorium. They will also be the special guests at the social event that will be held Friday evening at 6 p.m. on March 13 at the VFW on Baker Street. This event is open to the public as the Board of Directors will host a free pasta dinner that will be catered by the Woodhouse Stadium Grill.

Heading the Class of 2026 will be three standout lacrosse players from Corning East High, Carter Bloor, Jacob Tuller and Andy Warner.

Bloor was a standout face-off man for the Trojans and went on to become a major contributor to the University of Delaware lacrosse team. After a stellar career as a defenseman for the Trojans, Tuller took his talents to RIT where he was a three-time All-American for the Division II powerhouse. Warner was a two-time, All-Leaguer at Corning East as a top attackman. He went to the Naval Academy and became one of the top scorers for Midshipmen, finishing his career with 100 points on 48 goals and 52 assists.

East defenders Alex Daines (72) and Pelham McClellan try to take down West running back Brian Guilfoyle. Both Daines and McClellan will be inducted into the Corning-Painted Post Sports Hall of Fame in 2026.

From the gridiron are two of the offensive lineman at Corning East that made life easier for the stable of running backs that came out of that school in the early 2010s. Alex Daines was a three-time All-League performer who was named to the All-New York State, Third-Team as a senior. He went on to play for Buffalo State. Pelham McClellan was the anchor at center for the Trojans offensive line. He was two-time All-STC nomination before taking his talents to McDaniel College.

Nathan Grant and John Robinson join the Hall of Fame after standout baseball careers at Corning West. Grant was a standout starting pitcher for the Vikings and one year for the Corning Hawks. He went on to St. Bonaventure where he was a stalwart in the Bonnies bullpen for four years. Robinson was one of the best all-around players for the Vikings, playing many positions including pitcher when needed. After hitting .375 as a senior he went on to the University of Buffalo.

Former Corning pitcher Nathan Grant will be inducted into the Corning-Painted Post Sports Hall of Fame in 2026.

For the past 15 years, Anita Gennosa has been one of the most outstanding bowlers in the Corning Bowling Association. She has been selected to the All-City, First-Team the past 12 years and has led the ladies in scoring average in the Association six times in the past 10 years.

Rounding out the Class of 2026 from the track and field category are Chris Davis and Madeline Ustanik. Davis was a one of the most versatile athletes for the Vikings in sprints and the jumping events. He went on to become a strong member of the University of Buffalo track team. Ustanik was an All-STC performer for the Corning Hawks early track team and cross country squads in the long distance running events. She went on to become a solid member of the University of Richmond track team.
