Wales captain Jac Morgan will join Gloucester at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old back row was due to be out of contract with Ospreys, where he has played since 2021, at the end of the current term.

Morgan, who made his international debut in 2022, has 24 Wales caps along with two for the British and Irish Lions.

"I'm delighted to sign for Gloucester Rugby ahead of the 2026-27 season," he told Gloucester's website.

"It's a great club with brilliant supporters. I know a lot of players at Gloucester who speak highly of the environment and I'm excited for the future. I'm also looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Gallagher Prem."

Morgan came through the academy at Scarlets and made his senior debut in 2019, before joining local rivals Ospreys two years later. He made his senior Wales bow in a victory over Scotland.

Currently recovering from a shoulder injury, he could miss the entire 2026 Six Nations. Morgan was the only Welshman to play in the Lions series against Australia this year after Tomos Williams was forced out by injury.

He leaves at an uncertain time for Welsh rugby, with the number of professional clubs in the country set to be reduced from four to three by 2027.
