Artur Beterbiev would like to fight Dmirty Bivol in Moscow, if he can arrange it.
Over the weekend boxing media were able to catch former unified light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev and asked him numerous questions, including his thoughts on Dmitry Bivol supposedly turning down a big money offer for a rubber match in Russia. Here’s some of what Beterbiev had to say below.
Beterbiev on Bivol turning down a substantial offer for a third fight in Russia
“Yes. It’s true…I think (if the fight ever happens), most interesting, is going to be in Moscow, in Russia. In Russia, I think is most interesting, this fight.”
On what he made of Benavidez’s performance against Yarde
“I watched some highlights. He did good job…Of course I want to fight with (Benavidez).”
On the importance of getting his titles back
“Just one word, it’s very important.”
On how much the offer Bivol rejected was
“I don’t know but it’s not less than our couple of fights, you know.”
On who his favorite fighters were growing up
“Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali.”
