A pair of up-and-coming youngsters at La Liga giants Barcelona have set sights on respective places in the club’s XI to face Guadalajara on Tuesday.
This comes with Hansi Flick expected to heavily rotate his line-up for the fixture.
Barcelona are of course primed to kick the defence of their Copa del Rey title into gear tomorrow evening.
A trip to minnows Guadalajara lies in wait for the Blaugrana, with a place in the competition’s Last-16 at stake.
Amid a hectic recent run of fixtures for his side, Hansi Flick is expected to shake up his XI for the evening, with several fringe players in line for starts.
And as alluded to above, eyeing a place alongside such players in the visitors’ line-up are a pair of youth team talents.
As per a report from Barca insider Sergi Capdevila:
‘Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández and Jofre Torrents are aiming for starting spots.’ Midfielder Tommy Marqués, meanwhile, is also under consideration on the part of Hansi Flick.
Hansi Flick cuenta para la sesión de hoy con Dro, Tommy y Jofre del filial. Dro y Jofre apuntan a titulares, veremos Tommy. No hay más canteranos, veremos si el técnico alemán decide llevarse algún otro a Guadalajara... pic.twitter.com/whE9btRogc
