Who is the 2025 TDG Fans' Choice Girls Volleyball Player of the Year?

Another girls high school volleyball season has come and gone in the Greater Taunton area.

This fall, Bristol-Plymouth (12-8, 7-1 Mayflower Athletic Conference) led the way locally once again, capturing a second-straight Mayflower Large title and reaching the MIAA Division 2 Preliminary Round. Bristol Aggie (10-11, 6-5 MAC) also looked solid throughout the fall, reaching the Division 5 Preliminary Round. Taunton (9-11, 5-11 Hockomock League) looked solid but fell just short of tournament qualification while Bridgewater-Raynham (5-14, 0-4 Pioneer Athletic Conference) and Dighton-Rehoboth (4-16, 2-12 South Coast Conference) showed some promise for the future.

Now, with the season of the rearview, cast your vote for the 2025 Taunton Daily Gazette Fans' Choice Girls Volleyball Player of the Year, with polls open through noon on Tuesday, Dec. 23. This poll also will play into deciding the 2025 Taunton Daily Gazette Girls Volleyball Player of the Year, with the fan vote accounting for 25% of the Gazette's final vote. Voting can only be done through the poll below, and any votes submitted by email or other means will not be counted.

Here are the nominees:

Sadie Herry, Taunton

The junior defensive specialist/libero was once again the center point of the Tigers.

Emily Rogers, Bridgewater-Raynham

The sophomore libero had 513 passes, 309 digs, 48 assists, 200 serves and 36 aces.

Victoria Welzel, Bristol Aggie

The senior middle hitter led the way in most offensive categories for Aggie.

Genoveva Martins-Furtado, Bristol-Plymouth

The senior libero had 240 digs, 89 serve receptions, 58 aces and had a serving percentage of 90%. She was named the Mayflower Large MVP.

Sara Marsella, Dighton-Rehoboth

The senior setter/right side hitter had 75 kills, 144 assists, 138 digs and 32 aces.
