Sarah Zadrazil extends her contract with Bayern Munich to 2027

FC Bayern Frauen's Austrian midfield engine is staying put.

Bayern Munich Frauen midfielder Sarah Zadrazil has extended her contract to 2027.

The Austrian international put pen to paper on Tuesday and will be staying in the Bavarian capital for the foreseeable future. Ever since her signing from Turbine Potsdam in 2020, Zadrazil has been a key element of Bayern’s success in the 2020s.

“This contract extension means a great deal to me and offers tremendous support. It gives me the opportunity to fully concentrate on my rehabilitation and do everything I can to get back on the pitch as soon as possible. FC Bayern has become like a second home to me,” said Zadrazil.

Sadly, Zadrazil is currently sidelined with an ACL tear that she sustained earlier this season. However, according to sporting director Bianca Rech, her contract extension had already been discussed beforehand, and the injury did little to those plans.

Zadrazil has made 160 competitive appearances for Bayern and scored six goals. She has won four Bundesligas, a DFB-Pokal, and two Supercups so far. She was also a part of the Bayern team that made a memorable run to the Champions League semifinals in 2020/21.
