Here's a look at the former Greater Cincinnati high school football standouts who are set to enter the NCAA's transfer portal.
The 2026 college football transfer portal does not open until Jan. 2, but there are already several athletes who have announced their intention to find a new home.
Locally, UC quarterback Brendan Sorsby is leaving the Bearcats for the transfer portal and should get a big payday elsewhere.
There are also several former Cincinnati high school football products who are headed to the portal looking for a new collegiate home.
Here's a running list of some former local standouts on the move in college.
Noah King, Colorado
King was a top 15 player in Ohio in the Class of 2025. He began his career at Kansas State last spring but entered the transfer portal after spring ball.
King joined Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes as an undergraduate transfer and redshirted. He is entering the transfer portal for the second time.

King was a four-star defensive back at Hamilton, according to 247Sports, who helped lead the Big Blue to the playoffs in 2024. He originally had a dozen Division I offers before going to Kansas State, including from Nebraska, Kentucky and West Virginia.
Brody Foley, Tulsa
Foley, a former Anderson High School standout, announced on social media Dec. 11 that he'll enter the transfer portal for the second time in his collegiate career.
Foley appeared in 20 games at Indiana University over the last two seasons before committing to Tulsa. This season, the 6-foot-6, 260-pound tight end had 37 catches for 528 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Foley was a first-team All-Ohio selection at Anderson on defense in 2021 and was the No. 12 tight end in the nation for the Class of 2022, per 247Sports. Foley had 38 catches for 362 yards and 6 touchdowns with the Raptors.
Brogan McCaughey, Yale
McCaughey, a former St. Xavier quarterback, will enter the transfer portal as a grad transfer with two years of eligibility remaining, he announced on social media.
McCaughey led St. Xavier to the school's fourth state football title in 2020. He was a three-star prospect in the Class of 2022 and spent three seasons at Yale. In 2024, he appeared in two games, throwing for 389 yards and two touchdowns.
Airriss Rosemond, St. Francis
Rosemond announced on social media Dec. 5 that he'll enter the transfer portal after spending one season at St. Francis. He originally committed to Army in July 2024.
He was a three-star defensive back at Princeton in the Class of 2025. He held 13 original offers, with several suitors from the MAC.
Jyaire Brown, UCF
Brown moved from New Orleans to Cincinnati as a junior and became one of Ohio's top recruits at Lakota West. Brown was a four-star prospect in the Class of 2022
He spent two seasons at Ohio State before transferring to LSU for the 2024 season, then spent the last year at UCF. With the Knights, he had seven tackles. He announced Dec. 4 that he'll enter the transfer portal.
MJ Flowers, UConn
Flowers ran for 2,744 yards and 36 touchdowns at Colerain, including a 1,404-yard, 17-touchdown season as a senior in 2021.
The 2022 prospect began his career at Eastern Illinois, where he logged back-to-back 850-yard seasons in 2023-2024, combining for 15 touchdowns. He spent this season at UConn, running for 69 yards and a touchdown on 14 attempts.
Pierce Ayers, Wittenberg
Ayers set a Wittenberg record with 17 catches in a game this season and he'll join the UC Bearcats next season, according to Tim Maklem.
Ayers had 59 catches for 1,332 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior at Williamsburg in 2023. He also had 50 tackles, two forced fumbles and three interceptions, helping lead Williamsburg to a division title and a playoff berth.

Samuel Ringer, Wabash
Ringer, a 6-foot outside linebacker, was a Class 4A All-State selection at East Central. He announced in November that he'll enter the portal as a graduate transfer after three seasons as Wabash.
