Cincinnati Enquirer names 2025 boys, girls soccer all-city teams

Here are the Cincinnati Enquirer's boys and girls high school soccer all-star teams for the 2025 season.

The Greater Cincinnati area had another productive and fruitful high school soccer season. Three teams won state championships: Both the Summit Country Day boys and girls teams, and the Madeira girls. Meanwhile, two Southwest Ohio and two Northern Kentucky teams finished as state runner-up.

But more than that, the action on the pitch for each match showcased some of the best talent the area has to offer.

Here are The Enquirer's 2025 all-city teams, also known as all-stars, for each division in Ohio, plus Northern Kentucky and Indiana.

Division I

Offensive player of the year

Springboro's Rowen Arnold, right, is DI offensive player of the year.

Rowen Arnold, Springboro: The senior had 26 goals and 14 assists to lead the Panthers to a 12-3-2 record and the Greater Western Ohio Conference title. He was an All-American and All-Ohio honoree, as well as the player of the year in the league.

Co-defensive players of the year

St. Xavier goalie James McKernan, the Enquirer's co-defensive player of the year, celebrates with Brian Schaeper, the Enquirer's co-coach of the year, at their regional final win Nov. 2.

James McKernan, St. Xavier: The junior goalkeeper allowed 21 goals in 18 games, with six shutouts, in helping the Bombers reach the Division I state semifinals. He was an all-district and first-team all-league selection.

Grady Krueger, Mason: The senior was first-team all-league in the Greater Miami Conference, helping the Comets to the league title and a 14-1-3 record as they allowed only nine goals for the season.

Co-coaches of the year

Garrett Szabo, Mason: He led the Comets to a 14-1-3 record and the Greater Miami Conference title.

Brian Schaeper, St. Xavier: He led the Bombers to a 12-5-4 record and the state semifinals.

Brady Dorko, Anderson: The junior had 12 goals and six assists as the Raptors finished 12-4-4 and were regional runner-up. He was an all-district selection.

Defensive player of the year

Kings keeper Brody Sucher is DII defensive player of the year

Brody Sucher, Kings: The senior goalkeeper led the Knights to a 15-3-5 record and state runner-up. He allowed eight goals for the season and posted 15.5 shutouts. He was an All-American, district player of the year, and defensive player of the year in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference.

Coach of the year

Kings' Christian Hay is DII coach of the year

Christian Hay, Kings: He led the Knights to a 15-3-5 record and the state championship game, and their first Eastern Cincinnati Conference championship.

Kai Kuebler, Turpin: The senior had nine goals and 23 assists to lead the Spartans to a 16-2-4 record and the regional finals. He was an All-American, all-district and first-team all-league in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference.

Defensive player of the year

Badin goalie Cole Parr is DIII defensive player of the year

Cole Parr, Badin: The senior goalkeeper allowed nine goals and posted 14.5 shutouts for the Rams, who were 17-4-3 and reached the state semifinals.

Co-coaches of the year

Badin's Eric Hickey is co-coach of the year in Division III.

Jamie Harloff, Turpin: He led the Spartans to a 16-2-4 record and the regional finals.

Mariemont junior Aidan Gross (8) is the DIV offensive player of the year.

Aidan Gross, Mariemont: The junior had 16 goals and 13 assists and led the Warriors to a 17-3-1 record and the regional semifinals. He was All-Ohio, all-district and first-team all-league in the Cincinnati Hills League.

Defensive player of the year

Wyoming keeper Rocco Fischer is the DIV defensive player of the year

Rocco Fischer, Wyoming: The senior goalkeeper led the Cowboys to an 18-2-4 record and the state semifinals. He allowed 14 goals for the season and posted 13 shutouts. He was All-American, as well as All-Ohio, all-district and Cincinnati Hills League player of the year.

Coach of the year

Ryan Derge, Wyoming: He led the team to an 18-2-4 record and the state semifinals, and was Cincinnati Hills League coach of the year.

Davion Washington, Seven Hills: The senior led the Stingers to a 15-6-1 and the regional finals. He had 12 goals and 16 assists, and was an All-Ohio, all-region and all-district honoree.

Defensive player of the year

Summit's Elijah Warner (6) is the DV defensive player of the year

Elijah Warner, Summit Country Day: The junior led the Silver Knights to a 12-6-6 record and the state championship. He anchored a defense that allowed 25 goals and posted 11 shutouts, and also posted four goals and five assists on offense. He was an All-American and co-player of the year in the Miami Valley Conference-Scarlet.

Coach of the Year

Seven Hills' Mike Combs is the DV coach of the year

Mike Combs, Seven Hills: He led the Stingers to a 15-6-1 record and the regional finals.

Donovan Lameier of Dixie Heights is The Enquirer's offensive player of the year in Northern Kentucky.

Donovan Lameier, Dixie Heights: The senior was the Northern Kentucky offensive player of the year and first-team all-state after posting 16 goals and six assists for the Colonels, who finished 15-3 and 34th District champions.

Co-defensive players of the year

Tanner Robertson, Covington Catholic: He led the Colonels to an 18-8-2 record, the Ninth Region championship, and state runner-up. The Colonels' defense allowed five goals in an 11-game winning streak before the state finals. He was first-team All-Northern Kentucky and first-team all-state.

Covington Catholic senior Tanner Robertson is the co-defensive player of the year.

Logan Thoss, St. Henry: The senior anchored a unit that allowed only 18 goals all season as the Crusaders went 13-7-2 and were 34th District runner-up. He also led the team on offense with 11 goals. He was Northern Kentucky's defensive player of the year and first-team all-state.

Coach of the year

CovCath's Jeremy Robertson is the Northern Kentucky coach of the year

Jeremy Robertson, Covington Catholic: He led the Colonels to the Ninth Region championship and the state finals with an 18-8-2 record. CovCath won 11 games in a row before losing to St. Xavier in the state championship game.

Mason senior Anna Habra (8) is the DI offensive player of the year

Anna Habra, Mason: She had 20 goals and four assists to lead the Comets to a 13-4-2 record and the Greater Miami Conference championship. She was an all-state and all-district selection, and the GMC player of the year.

Defensive player of the year

Oak Hills senior Mady Linenkugel (2) is the DI defensive player of the year

Mady Linenkugel, Oak Hills: The four-year starter at center back helped the Highlanders post 10 shutouts this season, and 39 for her career. She added four goals and eight assists on offense. She was an All-American as well as All-Ohio, all-district and All-GMC as Oak Hills went 13-3-3. Linenkugel will play collegiately for Louisiana.

Coach of the year

Seton head coach Jay Kiley is the Division I coach of the year

Jay Kiley, Seton: He led the Saints to a 13-3-6 record, Girls Greater Catholic League championship, and the state final where they lost 1-0 to Upper Arlington.

Nina Brandon, Anderson: The junior scored 32 goals with nine assists to lead the Raptors to a 14-5-4 record and the state semifinals. She was an All-American, All-Ohio and the Eastern Cincinnati Conference offensive player of the year.

Defensive player of the year

Ella Cook, Little Miami: She was the ECC defensive player of the year in leading the Panthers to their first ECC title and leading a defense that posted 13 shutouts.

Co-coaches of the Year

Dann Marketos, Little Miami: He led the Panthers to an 11-5-4 record and their first ECC championship. He was co-coach of the year in the district.

Kelli Bill, Harrison: She led the Wildcats to a 14-2-4 record and was co-coach of the year in the district.

Badin captain Izzy Stokes is The Cincinnati Enquirer's defensive player of the year for Division III.

Izzy Stokes, Badin: The senior led a defense that posted 11 shutouts. She was an All-Ohio and all-league honoree.

Coach of the year

Patrick O’Leary, Ross: He led the Rams to a 17-3-1 record and the co-championship of the Southwestern Buckeye League-Southwestern Division.

Mia Stevens of Summit Country Day is the Division IV offensive player of the year

Mia Stevens, Summit Country Day: The senior Ohio State commit had 34 goals and 18 assists to lead the Silver Knights to a 22-0-2 record and the state championship. She is Ohio's Ms. Soccer, an All-American, and the Ohio Division IV player of the year.

Defensive player of the year

Summit Country Day head coach Mike Fee and senior Bree Reder are co-coach of the year and defensive player of the year, respectively, for The Cincinnati Enquirer.

Bree Reder, Summit Country Day: The senior anchored a defense that allowed 13 goals all season and posted 13 shutouts as they won the state championship with a 22-0-2 record. That included five shutouts in the postseason, the last a 4-0 win in the state final. She is an All-American and All-Ohio selection, and was the player of the year in the Miami Valley Conference-Scarlet.

Co-coaches of the year

Amy Dunlap, Indian Hill: She led the Braves to a 17-2-3 record and the Cincinnati Hills League championship. Indian Hill lost to Summit in the regional final. She was the Ohio Division IV coach of the year and district public school coach of the year.

Mike Fee, Summit Country Day: He led the Silver Knights to their third consecutive state championship and a 22-0-2 record.

Offensive player of the year

Madeira senior Natasha Davis is the Division V offensive player of the year

Natasha Davis, Madeira: The senior had 25 goals and seven assists to lead the Amazons to an 18-4- 1 record and the state championship. She was the Ohio Division V player of the year and district player of the year, and was also named an All-American.

Defensive player of the year

Clermont Northeastern's Emma Yeager, center, will play soccer for Austin Peay next year. She is The Enquirer's defensive player of the year.

Emma Yeager, Clermont Northeastern: The senior goalkeeper had seven shutouts to lead the Rockets to a 12-5-2 record. She was an All-Ohio honoree.

Coach of the year

Dan Brady, Madeira: He led the Amazons to an 18-4-1 record and their second consecutive state championship. He picked up his 300th career win during the season and ended with 314.

Co-offensive players of the year

Kiley Smith, Bishop Brossart: The sophomore scored 38 goals with 17 assists to lead the Mustangs to the 10th Region championship, 37th District championship and the first round of the state tournament. She was first-team all-region and first-team all-state.

Ella Smith, Simon Kenton: The senior led the Pioneers to a 20-2-3 record, 32nd District championship and Eighth Region runner-up. She had 24 goals and nine assists, and was named Eighth Region player of the year and first-team all-state.

Co-defensive players of the year

Izelee Kerns, Conner: The senior was the Ninth Region defensive player of the year and first-team all-state after leading a defensive unit that allowed only 20 goals all season as the Cougars went 17-6-2.

Bailee Class, Highlands: The sophomore goalkeeper was at her best in the postseason, allowing two goals in eight wins, including a shutout of Notre Dame in the Ninth Region final. She had nine shutouts for the season.

Coach of the year

Kelsey Etherton, Highlands; She led the Bluebirds to their second-straight Ninth Region championship and the state final, where they lost 3-0 to Sacred Heart.
