(FOUNTAIN, Colo) — There was a reason Mesa Ridge has been playing into March in the 5A ranks. The new squad finding a rhythm the last few games coming into a matchup with unbeaten Rampart. The Rams had won their first five games and were the top team in the 5A RPI standings coming into Tuesday night.

But Mesa Ridge reminding the Rams who has gone deep into the state tournament with a 65-58 win on Tuesday night. Both teams battled in the first quarter with the Grizzlies jumping out in front. Both teams battled to a one-point difference. Mesa Ridge will take on Lewis Palmer on Friday while Rampart will look to bounce back against Sand Creek
