Republic's 2025 All-Arizona high school badminton team. Vote in poll

The 12 selections for the All-Arizona team are nominees for the player of the year.

Here is The Republic's All-Arizona High School Badminton Team for the 2025 fall season. The 12 players represent the nominees for player of the year, which will be announced later this month with those in other fall AIA sports. Also noted are honorable mentions. Selections are based on performances during the season, with emphasis on the state AIA tournament and post-season AIA honors.

The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs badminton team won the AIA Division II state championship for the 2025 season.

Republic's 2025 All-Arizona High School Badminton Team

Annabelle Courtney, So., Prescott: She was named Division II Northwest Section Player of the Year by the AIA, finishing 27-3 overall (combined singles/doubles matches). Was co-runner-up in the D-II doubles championship with teammate Claire Long. They entered the state tournament as No. 1 seed.

Abigail Daniels, Jr., Prescott: She made an impressive run through the Division II state tournament, starting as a play-in, then winning five straight matches, defeating the No. 2 seed, before losing in the championship match. Finished regular season 26-2.

Hayley Koh, Jr., Hamilton: She was co-winner of the Division I doubles state championship for the Huskies, which also won the team state title. Selected D-I co-doubles player of the year by the AIA.

Claire Long, Jr., Prescott: The D-II doubles runner-up, along with Courtney, she finished the season 27-5 overall.

Kiley O'Neil, Sr., Perry: Was part of the D-I doubles championship No. 2 seed, which finished runner-up in the final. Finished the season 18-13 overall, 11-4 in doubles matches.

Lian Pan, Jr., Desert Vista: She was the D-I singles runner-up in the state finals as the No. 2 seed. Finished the regular season 30-1 overall.

The Hamilton Huskies badminton team won the AIA Division I state championship for the 2025 season.

Nihira Sane, Sr., Hamilton: She won the D-I singles state championship as the No. 1 seed. Finished the regular season 31-0 in combined singles and doubles matches for the state champions. Selected D-I player of the year by the AIA.

Addie Scott, Sr., Chaparral: She won the Division II doubles state championship along with her sister, AnnaBelle. They were not among the top seeds but won five straight matches on the way to the title. She finished the regular season 18-8 overall, playing only with her sister as a partner in four regular-season matches prior to the state tournament.

AnnaBelle Scott, So., Chaparral: With her sister, Addie, won the D-II doubles championship. Both were named AIA D-II doubles players of the year. AnnaBelle finished the regular season 18-2.

Masie Stoten, Sr., Perry: The other half of the D-I double runner-up tandem in the state final with O'Neil, she finished the regular season 22-8.

Sophia Tijore, Jr., Ironwood: She won the Division II state singles championship and was voted D-II player of the year by the AIA. Finished the regular season 29-3.

Katheryn Yi, Jr., Hamilton: Co-winner of the D-I doubles championship with her teammate Koh. She finished 30-0 in the regular season and shared honors as AIA doubles player of the year in D-I.

Coach of the Year

Michelle Carter, Sunrise Mountain: Led the Mustangs to the Division II team championship with a 17-1 overall record in AIA matches (including playoffs). Their only regular-season loss was to two-time defending champion Ironwood, which the Mustangs later defeated in the state championship match.
