KC Current, Denver Summit FC and Utah Royals join NWSL field in Coachella Valley Invitational
The match schedule for the Coachella Valley Invitational has officially released now featuring nine NWSL teams for the preseason event.
The Coachella Valley Invitational is a preseason tournament giving clubs the chance to prepare for the regular season with onsite training and full 90-minute matches taking place from February 7 to February 21, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. It will feature nine NWSL teams and 12 MLS teams.
The nine NWSL teams will play on February 15, and February 21. KC Current, Denver Summit and the Utah Royals will be joining for the first time after Angel City, San Diego Wave FC, Bay FC, Portland Thorns, Seattle Reign and Houston Dash featured in the 2025 tournament.
Denver Summit FC will play in their first match in club history against the Utah Royals Sunday, February 15, at 2 p.m. PST.
KC Current will only play one match in the event on Sunday, February 15, at 10:30 a.m. PST, against San Diego Wave FC, then will leave to play in the NWSL Challenge Cup on Friday, February 20, against the reigning NWSL champions, Gotham FC.
