Bo Nix named FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week

After his performance against the Packers, Broncos QB Bo Nix has been named FedEx’s Air & Ground Player of the Week

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been named FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week after he dismantled the Green Bay Packers defense on Sunday to lead his team to their 11th consecutive win.

Down 23-14 early in the third quarter, Nix had been having a pretty good game despite being down two scores there. However, from that moment on he turned the dial up a few notches. The Broncos would outscore the Packers 20-3 and put a statement on a game the national media mostly expected them to lose.

Nix finished the game 23/43 for 302 yards and 4 touchdown passes. Beyond the stats, it was how he put up those completions and touchdowns that likely won him this award. There were many big time throws and magician-like throws too that wowed us for 60 minutes. Don’t believe me? Watch the insane throw to Evan Engram in the clip above and the sideline throw that seemed to skim linebacker Quay Walker’s helmet as it landed in Troy Franklin’s hands for a great catch and run.

Or just catch the many film breakdowns from quarterback-minded guys. Tim Jenkins, Chase Daniel, and Kurt Warner all broke down Bo’s big game against the Packers. Great stuff here:

Much like his rookie season, 2025 is shaping up to be a tale of two seasons for Bo with the early part of the season featuring a bit of up and down play from Nix. The difference this year has been Nix finding ways to do what was needed to win the one-score games. Now he’s starting to find his stride. While the national media still thinks about his play earlier in the season, they are ignoring his play in recent weeks.

Over the last four games, Nix is averaging a 69.5% completion percentage, 282.5 yards passing per game with six total touchdowns to just one turnover. He is turning up the heat here down the stretch.

The Broncos have another big game coming up next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Can Nix lead the Broncos to sole possession of the second-longest win streak in franchise history? They are currently tied with the Peyton Manning-led 2012 Broncos squad.
