Arizona men’s basketball has made the cut for the top shooting guard in the class of 2026.

Caleb Holt, a 5-star guard out of Prolific Prep (Florida) is considering Arizona as one of five finalists along with Alabama, Houston, Kentucky and Providence, his agency Klutch Sports told Rivals’ Joe Tipton.

Holt is the No. 3 player in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard took an official visit to Arizona in early October.

Here is how 247Sports’ Adam Finkelstein describes Holt’s game: “Holt is physically imposing on the perimeter with a terrific combination of length, strength, athleticism, speed, and a wealth of intangibles. He’s competitive, plays hard, and imposes his will on both ends of the floor. He also has good perimeter size at 6-foot-5-plus with a 6-foot-9 wingspan.”

Holt is teammates with Arizona target Bruce Branch III, who transferred to Prolific Prep after starting his career at Perry High School, where he played alongside Wildcats forward Koa Peat. Branch III recently reclassified to the class of 2026 and is considered a top-10 prospect.

Holt would be the highest-rated recruit to sign with Arizona under coach Tommy Lloyd, for whom he played (alongside Peat) on Team USA’s U19 squad that won the FIBA World Cup over the summer.

The Wildcats already have a commitment from top-30 recruit Cameron Holmes, a 6-foot-6 wing. Arizona missed out on five-star forward Cameron Williams, who committed to Duke over the UA.
