The board at La Liga giants Barcelona are readying a contract renewal offer for head coach Hansi Flick.
This comes amid the understanding that the call has been made for the German to continue leading the sporting project in Catalunya’s capital for the foreseeable future.
As per a report from BILD (cited by Goal):
‘President Laporta and sporting director Deco are eager to break with tradition. They are reportedly preparing a concrete offer to extend Flick’s stay well beyond his current deal.’
The break with ‘tradition’ alluded to above comes by way of the timing of the incoming proposal.
Whilst discussions regarding manager contracts are generally reserved for the summer months at the Camp Nou, Flick looks set to be offered fresh terms mid-season.
As much comes as a direct reward for the ongoing excellence being displayed by the German tactician on the touchline at Barcelona, with Flick now widely regarded as a beloved figure in Catalunya.
