Bayern Munich’s Max Eberl non-committal on future with Nicolas Jackson

FC Bayern is not ready to make a decision on Nicolas Jackson…

Bayern Munich back-up striker and Chelsea FC loanee Nicolas Jackson is away at AFCON, but that does not mean that discussions about his future are not going on within the walls of Säbener Straße.

When asked by Bild journalist Nico Linner where the club stands on keeping Jackson vs. letting him go back to Chelsea, board member for sport Max Eberl was not ready to make any definitive statement.

“There’s no tendency yet,” Eberl said in a brief statement (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

Statistically, Jackson has been fine as he has tallied five goals and one assist in 18 games across all competitions. Within those 18 games, Jackson has played a total of 542 minutes as well.

However, from a fit standpoint, Jackson is a bit different than starter Harry Kane and if he had to fill-in long-term, there would like be issues with how his style of play fits in with the rest of the attacking group.

All that said, it is hard to imagine Bayern Munich paying anywhere remotely close to the rumored €65 million fee that is attacked to formally acquire Jackson.
