Best DFS picks for Rams at Seahawks in Week 16

Nick Simon brings you his favorite picks for FanDuel’s Thursday night single-game DFS contests.

Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season kicks off tonight with an NFC West battle for first place showdown featuring the Los Angeles Rams visiting the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle enters as a slight 1.5-point home favorite, with an over/under of 42.5. The Rams clinched a playoff spot last and a win here would put them on the doorstep of both the division title and possible No. 1 seed in the NFC. Meanwhile, the Seahawks would clinch a playoff spot with a win and would be in the driver’s seat for the top spot in the conference.

Below, we will take a look at the best DFS plays for this Thursday night showdown.

Captain’s Picks

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Seattle Seahawks (FLEX $13,000, CPT $19,500)

Smith-Njigba has continued to put up monster performance after monster performance and it’s not a surprise that he is currently the odds favorite to win NFL Offensive Player of the Year. The Seahawks offense as a whole sputtered in their 18-16 victory over the Colts on Sunday, but the third=year wideout from Ohio State still got his by catching seven targets for 113 yards.

That was his ninth 100+ yard performance of the season and he continues to be the most surest fantasy wideout in the league this season as he ranks in the top five in receptions, receiving yards, target share, touchdowns, YAC, and yards per route run. Whew, that’s a lot of categories. JNS as a captain is a no brainer. He’s been incredible.

Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams (FLEX $12,000, CPT $18,000)

While JNS is the NFL OPOY favorite at the moment, Stafford is currently the top of the MVP leaderboard with the season that he’s been having at 37 years old. The veteran posted 368 yards with two touchdowns and a pick in Sunday’s win over the Lions, bringing his league-leading touchdown total to 37 for the season. He’s also been money for DFS managers with an average of 21 fantasy points per game.

Stafford enters tonight’s showdown as a top-five QB in passing EPA, passing yards, and success rate and he’s been able to do this with the protection of an offensive line that has allowed him to boast the second-lowest sack rate at just 3.9%. He only threw for 130 yards and two scores in their win over the Seahawks one month ago and with the way he’s been playing, I’d imagine he’ll post better numbers this evening.

Colby Parkinson, TE, Los Angeles Rams (FLEX $7,600, CPT $11,400)

Parkinson has been a touchdown machine in the second half of the season and he kept his hot streak going in the Rams’ touchdown victory over the Lions on Sunday. The veteran posted his best numbers of the season in this showdown of NFC playoff contenders, catching five of seven targets for 75 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns to rack up 22 fantasy points in DFS.

That’s now six scores in six games for Parkinson and he showed last week that he can be more than just an deadly red-zone target for L.A.’s offense. There is tremendous value to be had here as a cheap captain’s option and you’ll benefit big time if he hits for another big game.

Value flex plays

Cooper Kupp, WR, Seattle Seahawks (FLEX $5,600, CPT $8,400)

It’s kind of weird seeing Kupp in value territory, but here he is! The Super Bowl 56 MVP hasn’t been anywhere near his prime form from a few years ago, but he’s still been a reliable hand for the Seahawks and grabbed five receptions for 46 yards in Sunday’s win over the Colts. He’s entering a high-stakes showdown against his former team at home and I think he can post solid enough numbers to make him a good lineup add.

A.J. Barner, TE, Seattle Seahawks (FLEX $5,000, CPT $7,500)

Barner hasn’t made that much of an impact on the fantasy front since his hot stretch in September or October, but it would not be a shock to see him re-emerge in a big-time matchup like tonight’s game. The presence of JNS has reduced him to a 15.1% target share, but he’s made the most of his opportunities with a 76.8% catch rate for the year. The tight end caught a season-high 10 receptions for 70 yards in their last matchup against the Rams and I think that’s worthy of lineup consideration for tonight.

Tutu Atwell, WR, Los Angeles Rams (FLEX $4,600, CPT $6,900)

Atwell returned from a near-two absence due to a hamstring injury on Sunday and only made a cameo appearance in Sunday’s win over the Lions, catching a single pass for nine yards. There’s a possibility of him being called into action more this evening with Davante Adams dealing with his own hamstring injury and we’ve seen Atwell step up with big receptions in key spots before this season. I think he’s worth taking a flier on in your lineup.
