Walsall's top-of-the-table game at Notts County is a "brilliant one" to look forward to, says head coach Mat Sadler.
Walsall head coach Mat Sadler says Saturday's top-of-the-table League Two meeting with Notts County is a "brilliant game to look forward to" and a challenge they "embrace".
The Saddlers go to Meadow Lane (12:30 GMT) two points clear of County, and third-place Swindon Town, trying to extend their impressive run of four wins and a draw in their last six league games.
Notts boast the same record over the last half a dozen matches, with three of their victories coming in their last three fixtures.
"It's a brilliant game to look forward to," Sadler told BBC Radio WM.
"They're on a good run and any time you go to Notts County it's going to be a big atmosphere and a good game.
"We've got as many fans we could have going and to have that support is massive."
For the second successive season, Walsall are setting the pace at the top of the table and Sadler is happy to be thought of as the team everyone is again trying to topple.
"It's something to embrace - it's important to embrace that challenge," Sadler said.
"We want to be playing in these games at the top end of the division. We want to be one of the teams that people see and see we're a good team and see us as a game they want to play in.
"It's really exciting. We want to be in this position."
No further clarity over Kanu situation
With on-loan striker Daniel Kanu leading the attack against County at the weekend, Sadler said on Friday the uncertainty over whether the 21-year-old stays with Walsall until the end of the season "remains the same".
Sadler has previously said they are "not in control" of the situation but have a contingency plan if the 11-goal forward returns to Charlton next month.
"Everyone's trying to do the best for their club," he said.
"We want to be a place that other people want to send their good, young players to.
"If they do well there is that element of 'OK what happens now?'.
"The most important thing is we're doing a good job by Daniel and he's doing a good job by us.
"We'll continue having a really good relationship with Charlton and we're prepared for whatever comes.
"Daniel's really enjoying his football and playing really well and we want him to continue that."
