Following Jake Paul‘s first knockout loss in his professional boxing career, one legend wants another shot at the Vine alum.
Mike Tyson, who lost to Paul in a unanimous decision during their November 2024 sanctioned match, recently proposed a rematch after Anthony Joshua defeated the ‘Problem Child’ in Round 6 of Friday’s brawl, which streamed live on Netflix.
“I’m getting more and more confident, and I believe I’ll be better in the [Floyd Mayweather] fight coming up,” he told UK’s Mirror of the March 2026 match set for Africa. “But this fight right here, I think I’d be more adapted, because I had my other two experiences.”
During their Nov. 15, 2024 match, Paul landed 78 hits against Tyson’s 18 during the eight two-minute rounds. Paul threw 278 (28%) punches against Tyson’s 97 (18%).
A year later, Tyson is more confident in his ability to take on Paul in a rematch. “I realised how to train this time, more than other times… I think I trained a little bit too intensely [for Paul], and I left most of my fight in the gym.
“I’m just hoping, after this Floyd fight, maybe we can have a rematch,” added Tyson. “Yes, I would be interested in that.”
After their original match took Netflix’s No. 1 spot in 78 countries with 46.6M views in its first week, the streamer could have a knockout event on its hands in a potential rematch.
