According to Fabrizio Romano, AS Roma are advancing in talks with the 24-year-old on personal terms as their top target for January.
Roma are looking to secure a deal as quickly as possible, but the final call rests with United, who are already missing three key stars due to the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
