So now what? Here's the next time we'll see pro golf tours in action

We can now officially put the 2025 golf calendar to bed and look ahead to the first tournaments of 2026.

The PGA Tour concluded at the RSM Classic a month ago. The LPGA pulled the curtain on its year at the CME on the same Sunday. Other pro tours had concluded weeks prior. The DP World Tour has had recent events but those are a part of the 2026 season.

Thus, we can officially close the last page on the 2025 golf calendar and start to look ahead to the first tournaments of 2026. Your favorite golfers will be back in action before you know.

Here's a look at the first event of the new year on each of the major pro golf tours around the world.

Korn Ferry Tour

The Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis Paradise Island, Jan. 11-14

The Ocean Club Golf Course at Atlantis will serve as the first pro golf venue in 2026. The Korn Ferry Tour's schedule then stays in the Bahamas for the second event of the year before heading to Colombia, Argentina and Chile.

The Sony Open in Hawaii, Jan. 15-18

The Sony is normally the follow-up to The Sentry but the traditional season opener in Maui was canceled after a water dispute led to drought conditions at the Plantation Course at Kapalua. So that means when the pros peg it up at Waialae Country Club in Oahu, the 2026 golfing season will officially be underway.

DP World Tour

Dubai Invitational, Jan. 15-18

There are 42 tournaments in 25 countries on the DP World Tour during its 2025-26 campaign, which started late November. Its first event in 2026 is at Dubai Creek Resort in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

PGA Tour Champions

Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai, Jan. 22-24

The Champions tour will celebrate its 30th anniversary at Hualalai Golf Club in Ka'upulehu-Kona, Hawaii, in January as the island will be the launching pad once again for the 50-and-over circuit.

The fifth season for LIV Golf starts in Saudi Arabia. New in 2026 for the circuit is that tournaments will now be 72 holes after being just 54 for the first four seasons. There are 14 events on the schedule for LIV in 2026 with 12 having been announced so far.
