How the Steelers can clinch a postseason spot in Week 17
Week 16 could not have gone better for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They pulled off the upset on the road against the Detroit Lions, defeating the reigning NFC North champions 29-24, and were able to watch the New England Patriots defeat the Baltimore Ravens 28-24.
That sequence of events puts the Steelers on the brink of clinching their first division title since 2020, and their first with fans being able to be in attendance in full since 2017.
The path is now crystal clear for the Steelers to win the AFC North: if the Ravens lose to the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, Pittsburgh clinches the division. Even if the Ravens win, though, the Steelers clinch the division with a win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 17.
So in short, Pittsburgh clinches the AFC North with a win OR a Ravens loss – both of which are very much in play.
