As confirmed earlier this week, an agreement has been reached between Real Madrid and Olympique Lyon for the loan move of Endrick in January.
The teenage striker will sign for the Ligue 1 outfit on a six-month loan deal until the end of the season, with the two clubs splitting his salary, and Real Madrid receiving a fee of €1 million for the operation.
Lyon excited by Endrick’s arrival
Now, according to Foot Mercato, Endrick’s arrival is already being talked about behind closed doors in the Lyon dressing room with great excitement and anticipation.
Indeed, the news of his imminent arrival has delighted supporters, the club and the coaching staff led by Paulo Fonseca.
The Portuguese manager and his assistants are said to be “delighted with the signing of this talented player”, describing him as “the attacking reinforcement they need”.

Fonseca has already spoken with the striker ahead of his arrival. For his part, Endrick was “won over by the coach’s style and playing philosophy”, something that weighed heavily in the decision, as the Brazilian wanted to work under him as soon as possible.
Endrick’s new teammates are also enthusiastic about his arrival. One of them admitted that “the group is very happy about him coming” and believes they “can achieve good things with him” during the second half of the season, both in Ligue 1 and the UEFA Europa League.
Another echoed that view, saying he was happy because “we were waiting for him”. A third added that Endrick will “bring the qualities that are missing in the number nine position”.
Lyon lost Alexandre Lacazette and Georges Mikautadze last summer, and Martin Satriano, who arrived in the transfer window, has not met expectations, leading to Pavel Sulc being converted into a forward to compensate for the lack of options.
As such, Endrick’s imminent arrival is being seen as a great positive in the Rhone-based club’s locker room.
