You're dreaming about hoisting that fantasy football championship trophy...it's so close! Well snap out of it! There is still waiver wire work to do, and who couldn't use an upgrade at running back? As we head into Week 17 of the NFL season, check out the top three RBs to scoop up.
1. Michael Carter, Arizona Cardinals (Ownership- 42% Yahoo!, 39% ESPN)
Even with the return of backup Emari Demercado, Michael Carter is expected to continue getting the starter's share of touches on Sunday. The fantasy point output was disappointing in the loss to Atlanta, however, this upcoming opponent is much more appealing.
Carter draws a gift as he takes on the Bengals swiss cheese defense that's allowing the most fantasy points to running backs. This could turn into a high scoring contest, which helps the versatile Carter even more.

2. Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots (Ownership- 69% Yahoo!, 75% ESPN)
Rookie TreVeyon Henderson had taken over the Patriots backfield...that is until a head injury landed him in concussion protocol. That is where Henderson remains with his Week 17 status very much in question. Enter Rhamondre Stevenson who still possessed low end RB2/Flex appeal even with a reduced workload.
He looked ready when called upon in the Patriots comeback victory over Baltimore, contributing a 21-yard galloping touchdown. New England visits the Jets sieve run defense that is giving up the fourth most FPTs to running backs.
Check your waiver wire, and grab Stevenson if he's still there.
Blake Corum, L.A. Rams (Ownership- 41% Yahoo!, 29% ESPN)
Kyren Williams owners hate him, but Blake "the vulture" Corum has hit pay dirt, scoring five times in four games. Corum is still second in overall touches to Williams, however, the 25-year old is seeing consistent goal-line work and double digit carries.
Taking on a vulnerable Atlanta defense on the road presents a high-floor opportunity to cash in. Consider Corum in the Flex conversation.
