Bayern Munich facility upgrades receive city approval

‘Ready to go’ on a delayed renovation at Säbener Straße.

Bayern Munich’s plans for upgrades at Säbener Straße are progressing following the approval of a building permit from the city. The project is slated to run until 2029. Per a report from Tz journalists Manuel Bonke and Philipp Kessler (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):

Bayern have been granted a building permit from the city of Munich for the new performance center at Säbener Straße, and concrete plans for the project are ready to go. The renovation was originally scheduled to begin last summer and was approved by the supervisory board – however, the project was postponed by a year. It’s quite possible that construction will begin in 2026. Construction would take three years with an estimated cost of nearly €100 million [@mano_bonke, @kessler_philipp]

That is a hefty chunk of change but of course, Bayern is serious about investing in its facilities. It is not only player transfers that can run up €100M bills.
