In fact, since Swinney was elevated to head coach in October 2008 following the departure of Tommy Bowden, the Tigers have never failed to reach a bowl game.
Clemson's 21-year active bowl game streak is the fourth longest in the nation. The Georgia Bulldogs have the longest active streak at 29 years, followed by the Oklahoma Sooners (27 seasons), and the Alabama Crimson Tide (22 seasons).
The Tigers' 21st consecutive bowl game matchup will come against the Penn State Nittany Lions in the 2025 Pinstripe Bowl Saturday at Yankee Stadium. Kickoff for Clemson-Penn State is noon ET. The game will be televised on ABC.
