Rich Rod needs himself a quarterback.

Give Rich Rodriguez a quarterback, and watch the magic happen.
That's what West Virginia will be hoping can work for the Mountaineers in 2026.
This season, WVU had to play four different QBs.
The transfer portal could provide the answer they're looking for, though. A ton of talented quarterbacks are in the portal, and one surely will want to play for Rodriguez.
The Athletic's Manny Navarro took a crack at predicting QB landing spots in a new article this week. To West Virginia, he has Marcus Stokes transferring.
Stokes was a star this fall for Division II West Florida.
"Rich Rodriguez had four different players start at quarterback for him in his first year back in Morgantown," Navarro writes. "Stokes, originally a Florida signee, reportedly has trips lined up to Memphis and Syracuse. But it would be fun to see what Rodriguez could do with him after he threw for 3,297 yards and 30 touchdowns and ran for 367 yards and 10 touchdowns in the Division II ranks this season."

Stokes had been committed to Florida before a video surfaced of him rapping a racial slur. The Gators rescinded their scholarship offer, and Stokes issued a public apology.
He instead landed in the D-II ranks, where he was clearly the best player on the field at all times.
Now, Stokes is getting his chance to move up to Division I. West Virginia could use a QB like him.
