Chargers reveal Week 17 inactives vs. Texans

The Los Angeles Chargers are sitting a handful of players ahead of their Week 17 matchup against the Houston Texans.

The Los Angeles Chargers are preparing for their Week 17 matchup against the Houston Texans at SoFi Stadium.

While most of the players are getting ready, a few members of the team will be on the inactive list.

Wide receiver Derius Davis (ankle), defensive back RJ Mickens (shoulder), cornerback Benjamin St-Juste (shoulder), offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer (hamstring), running back Kimani Vidal (neck), outside linebacker Kyle Kennard and tight end Tyler Conklin are the inactives for the Chargers.

Meanwhile, offensive lineman Trent Brown (ankle, knee), linebacker Jamal Hill (calf, wrist), offensive tackle Aireontae Ersery (thumb), wide receiver Braxton Berrios, cornerback Aliha Huzzie and defensive end Solomon Byrd are the inactives for the Texans. Graham Mertz will serve as the emergency third quarterback behind C.J. Stroud and Davis Mills.

Ersery is the team starting left tackle, so that will be a big loss for the Texans. The Chargers pass rush should look to take advantage.

Kickoff between the Texans and Chargers is set for 1:30 p.m. PT. Fans can watch the game on NFL Network or stream it on the NFL app.
