Braves News: Holiday doldrums, potential targets, more

Atlanta Braves news and notes from Saturday

Well we’re mostly still waiting for things of significance to resume happening after the Christmas holiday, with a few minor transactions and the Tyler Soderstrom extension standing aside as exceptions. Tatsuya Imai has to sign in the next six days (and he would be a great signing for the Braves’ starting pitching need, even though I am not expecting it), while Kazuma Okamoto has to sign in the next eight. That’s some guaranteed action of significance at the very least. The hope is that those pieces moving can catalyze larger market movement in overall free agent and perhaps trade markets. It sure feels like Ketel Marte is getting traded this offseason and a few starting pitcher trades seem inevitable as well.

MLB News
